Stephen Greaves is an Australian Cameraman/Editor. He is currently living and working in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to this Stephen was freelancing in Beijing, China. His major clients have been NOS Dutch Television and The Australian Media Channels, Nine and Seven.
Stephen has also freelanced for international news broadcasters including CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera English. While in China Stephen has been lucky enough to work on some amazing stories. The biggest while in China was the Sichuan Earthquake and the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. One of Stephen highlights was walking on the Great Wall of China for a month with Olivia Newton-John. He was the pool TV cameraman for Olivia’s Great Walk to Beijing fundraising event. Stephen shot and edited a daily highlights package which was sent via satellite around the world. He also shot LIVE crosses for broadcasters like GMTV London, ABC Good Morning America, Seven, Nine and Ten in Australia.
Working with many different clients has given Stephen the opportunity to work on many different formats, be it NTSC or PAL, HD/SD, Varicam and HD XDCAM. Stephen regularly edits on AVID and FCP, Sending vision around the world via BGAN on the FTP Platform.
Aside from working in Broadcast Television as a Camera Operator/ Editor, Stephen’s pasion for Photography has grown into presenting some amazing photographs to clients around Australia.
To bring both mediums together this website has been evolved into providing a platform to present Stephen’ opinions and share his knowledge through tutorials. Stephen is available for freelance work.
